TABLE OF CONTENTS

A - Click on "Finalize" to access the exporting options.

B - Click on the "JPG/PDF Export" option.

If you have not already created an account and subscribed, you will be invited to do so at this point.

Choose Your Export Filename:

By default, your project name will be used as the filename. However, you can create a unique name for your exported file.

Tips: Avoid using non-alphanumeric characters in your file name to ensure it will be compatible with your system and your printer's uploader. Do not use punctuation or special characters such as $%^& in your file name.

Advanced Settings

Choose the rendering, spread, and format options.

Render Trim Area

Under Render options, choose where your pages will be trimmed.

  • Render Canvas only will trim your project exactly on its dimensions. It will not be lightly inflated as per your album settings. (It is best not use use this option if you are using a Memento partner preset.)
  • Choose Canvas + Bleed to trim at the Bleed edge.
  • Choose Canvas + Bleed + Crop Marks to trim at the Bleed edge and include cropmarks.

Spreads

Under the Spread options, choose to render spreads as an entire file, or to render them split in two on the gutter line.

If you have chosen a Memento Partner preset under the Settings tab, the Advanced settings options will be preset to their preferences and will not be editable.

File format

Under the Format options, choose the file format (pdf or jpg).

PDF files may be rendered with additional options.

Layers and vectors will produce a pdf with every component of your page on a separate layer, and renders text into vector format (for increased sharpness). Layers and vectors format pdf will increase the size of your file, whereas a flattened pdf will minimize the size of the file.   A third option to render the project to layers with flattened text (non-vector) is also available.

PDF format also offers the option of creating a single multipage file, multiple single page files, or a separate cover and a multipage file for rest of the book.

JPG format will simply render a series of flattened single-page files.

Resolution (DPI)

Last, choose your dpi.  Generally, 300 dpi is the standard for a quality print resolution - but ask your printing service for guidance for their recommendation. Any larger amount only unnecessarily bloats your file size, making it harder to upload to your printing company.

Rendering and Exporting Your Project

Upon completing your render preferences, click RENDER to produce the files. Rendering can take some time as Memento Pro is gathering all the information from your original source images to create high quality output.

You will be prompted to open the files, view the folder where the files are located (by default, they are in folders found in Documents\Memento\Projects) and/or close the Finalization window.

After rendering, you may review the completed output, re-render if required, and/or send it off to your printing service of choice as per their recommended method.
