Any layout or template you want to have at your fingertips can be marked as a favourite by clicking on the favourite icon as you hover your mouse over the template or layout, as seen here...
Click on the favorite icon and it will highlight whenever the thumbnail of that template or layout is shown. You can then select the "Show favorites" option at the top of the list to filter and show only the template and layouts you chose as favorites. This is also useful in the Advanced Wizard.
