Image transparency & opacity

Image Opacity/Transparency

You can adjust the general transparency of an image on your canvas.

Select one or more images on your canvas, and click on the General Image Attribute option (last icon on the 2nd line).

Reduce the value of the Transparency slider to lower the overall opacity of the image.

Images, color or texture under the selected image will become visible.

Other Image Blending options

There are more complex and subtle ways to affect your image opacity and interaction with the canvas itself and other elements on your canvas.

Canvas Blend
You can add Canvas Blend, so your image interacts the the image or color underneath it.

Select an image. click on the General Attributes option, then choose one of the Canvas Blend options.

Your image will interact with the canvas underneath it, dependent on your selected filter.


Use the Gradients option to blend the image into the background from the edge outwards.

Select your image.
Click on the Gradient Attributes icon (middle 2nd row.

Enable the gradient option, then choose among the available gradient shapes. 

Further controls are offered to positioning the source of your gradient and to control blend intensities.
Background Fill

Blend your image into a color using the Image Attribute option's Background Fill tool.

Select your image.
Click on the Image Filter Effects option (3rd icon from the left, 2nd line).
Scroll to the bottom of the options to find the Background Fill options.
Choose a fill level with the opacity slider, and use the color chip to pick a color.

The color fill will be blended into your image accordinging.
